Calp is a popular tourist destination and is easily accessible via the AP7 and nation Spanish road, the N332. The N332 connects all areas in Spain and is a great way for getting around the costas, connecting to the motorway, airports and popular destinations such as La Zenia, where the popular shopping center Zenia Boulevard is situated, containing shops, restaurants and entertainment all year round.
Calp is well known for it’s rock of Ifach, which is an enormous 332 meters high. Be warned that it is a dangerous climb and it is not recommended for children or those with a fear of heights, but the climb is definitely worth it as the island of Ibiza can seen on a clear day. There is loads to see in Calp, exploring any of the old town and you’re likely to find something beautiful, a good example of this is the old church known as Iglesia Vieja, this ancient church is the last example of Mudejar-Gothic architecture in Valencia.
Calp also houses its own museums to enlighten you with the history, the museum of architecture and the museo de fiestas, which translates to “Museum of parties”. Calp’s nearest golf course is in Moraira, a stunning 9 hole course offering some of the most incredible views. Calp is known for it’s welcoming climate, having the cool sea breezes in the summer, and protection from colder Northern winds by the mountains enjoying plenty of sunshine and average temperatures that exceed 20 degrees easily.
